About Us
Populus was founded in the Washington D.C. Metro area, with an accomplished international team that has held positions in U.S. high school guidance and private academic counseling for both international and domestic students. Populus provides expert, ethical guidance by way of highly individualized 1:1 support as well as competition training workshops. Populus strives to provide an educational experience through our college admissions support.
Our Team
The founder, Katherine Yang, graduated from University of Pennsylvania with master's degree in Educational Entrepreneurship, and University of Virginia with Educational Psychology. She has been working in high school academic counseling and college counseling full time for more than 10 years. Her team is formed with Penn alumni and a group of Ivy League teachers and students, aiming at supporting students through one on one individualized advising and top level competition training.
